Tuscany is a region in central Italy with the Apennines in its eastern part. This region’s landscape is particularly beautiful, with hills, fields, castles and medieval towns. There are also long sandy beaches, some of them extremely famous (Viareggio, for example).
Tuscany represents the perfect symbiosis between art, culture, history and the natural beauty of the land (the hills of the Chianti region, for example).
Cities like Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and smaller towns like Pienza, Cortona, San Gimignano and Volterra, attract many tourists all year round. They are also popular thermal baths in this region such as Chianciano terme, Montecatini terme and Bagni di Lucca.
Tuscany is also famous for its wines and many famous DOC wines are produced in this region: the very famous Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti and Nobile di Montepulciano are but a few.
